About Cindy
I grew up in Va. Beach, Va. and have been involved in community affairs since my teens. My early experience as a musician gave me a great appreciation for the arts and the value of strong public schools. As a graduate of James Madison University I entered the world of high technology and worked for a number of years in information technology with rail giant CSX. My journey has provided me the opportunity to give back to communities in Maryland, Virginia, Florida and now North Carolina. One of my proudest accomplishments prior to relocating here was the expansion and renovation of the park in our neighboorhood to make a lasting investment for children and families. I am proud that the park is still in use today and enjoyed by the community.
Since moving to Cary in 2001, I have participated in many local endeavors and have become familiar with the Town of Cary and the need of its residents. I have served in the role of Home Owners Association President in my subdivision as well as other board roles, volunteered in various capacities in the Wake County Public Schools my children attended (including initiating fund raising campaigns for booster/band and partaking in the establishment of the Panther Creek Invitational), and am involved in outreach activities assisting local families through my church. I feel it my civic responsibility to be an active member in the community and I enjoy working with others to enhance our neighborhoods. These experiences have given me insight and the ability to listen too many of my neighbors throughout our Town.
My business experience, love for the arts and a passion for children and family shape my vision for Cary as I seek to be your advocate for ensuring that Cary remains one of the best places to live in America. As a member of the Town council I will continue to listen to your concerns and more importantly seek your guidance as we chart a course forward for Cary.
